After attending our complimentary heat pump training course, Mitchell and Bond Plumbing and Heating joined Alto Energy as Assured Partner Installers in December 2023. Since then, they’ve installed several Worcester Bosch heat pumps, with Alto providing all MCS design, supply, commissioning, and paperwork support. We recently caught up with the team to learn more about their experience working with us.

Why do you install heat pumps rather than just conventional boilers?
We fit a mixture of heat sources including mains gas, LPG, oil and now heat pumps. We’re finding that in areas without mains gas, or on projects that are having a full refurbishment, air source heat pumps are proving to be an economically viable choice, especially when paired with other renewables e.g. solar PV.

The ability to pass over the time-consuming paperwork and MCS registration, allowing us to focus on the installation of the heat pumps.
