Boosts presence in heat pump market, & draws on expertise of leading heat pump specialists
AgilityEco, the leading provider of low carbon, energy efficiency and fuel poverty services, has today acquired a stake in Alto Energy, with an option to increase its shareholding at a later date.
Alto Energy is a leading expert in the heat pump sector within the UK. It offers MCS accredited design, equipment supply, servicing, technical support, commissioning and quality control services to an extensive and growing network of heat pump installers.
AgilityEco has been searching for a heat pump partner to help achieve its mission to deliver better outcomes for low income and vulnerable families and to prepare Britain’s homes for Net Zero. The heat pump market is expected to grow significantly over the coming years as British homes and businesses move away from a dependency on fossil fuels for heating and embrace the benefits of renewable heating.
Fast-track heat pump deployment
This new partnership with Alto Energy will fast-track the delivery of AgilityEco’s heat pump capabilities, bringing opportunities to support our growing network of supply chain partners transition to low carbon heating technologies. Last year alone, AgilityEco supported over 44,000 low-income and vulnerable households with energy efficiency measures. These generated estimated total lifetime bill savings of over £200 million in 2020/21. The stake in Alto Energy will therefore enable AgilityEco to scale its low-carbon and renewable services quickly and deliver more social impact and bill savings to fuel poor and vulnerable households across the UK.
AgilityEco has a strong track record delivering energy efficiency products through its nationwide network of installers, and securing funding for its clients, which perfectly complements Alto Energy’s activities. Partnering with Alto Energy creates an exciting opportunity for both businesses.
Jon Kimber, joint CEO of AgilityEco said:
“Alto Energy is a fantastic business, with a strong management team that has created a unique position within the UK heat pump market. We are delighted to be working alongside Scott Greening and Dave Webb to create multiple opportunities for both businesses. Alto Energy has a unique and important business model offering households and installers expert, independent, design, technical and delivery capabilities. I'm pleased to be joining the Board of Alto to assist the management team with their ambitious growth plans.
“The UK heat pump market will grow extensively over the coming years as households move to low-carbon heating solutions. We believe the skills and expertise of both businesses will create a unique proposition for our funding clients, supply chain partners, and the households we serve.”
Scott Greening, Managing Director of Alto Energy said:
“This investment will benefit both businesses greatly. We look forward to working more closely with AgilityEco to deliver market-leading heat pump systems to help households across Britain. We are recognised experts within this industry and the Alto team is excited to share its knowledge with AgilityEco to enable more households to become more energy efficient through renewable energy.”
