Heating Oil Price Still Over 50p Per Litre
40% Year On Year Increase In Summer Oil Price
Whilst the oil price has fallen slightly from the peak seen in the winter months, the summer price of oil has increased by over 40% compared to the previous summer in 2017.
For the average heating oil price to remain over 50 pence per litre over summer is unprecendented in recent years, and it certainly begs the question as to what the heating oil price might be if we have another cold winter.
Before Topping Up Your Oil Tank This Winter...
Consider heat pump technology!
Not only will you save on running costs, you can get paid for the renewable heat you produce through the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). Along side this, you have the added bonus of not requiring a big oil tanker turning up at your door in freezing conditions.

BoilerJuice check the cost of 1,000 litres of heating oil from every participating supplier in their database. They compared heating oil suppliers and take their lowest price. They do this for every postcode district, using this information to calculate the average UK heating oil price available through their website (including VAT at 5%).
