Thanks to the cost of living crisis and rising inflation, millions of people are feeling the squeeze at the moment. It might not seem a good time to invest in heat pumps, particularly for homeowners.
However, thanks to the Boiler Upgrade Grant (BUS), you can get up to £6,000 when you swap your old boiler for a ground source heat pump. You can also get £5,000 for an air source heat pump. Although these grants are only designed to cover part of the cost of installation, you will have much lower energy bills once the technology is installed.
BUS applies to both businesses and homeowners so is brilliant for companies looking to improve their green credentials. Please note that this scheme doesn’t apply to Scotland, where the Home Energy Scotland Loan applies.
According to Octopus Energy, heat pumps can currently save you up to £700 a year on your energy bills.
Alto Energy Limited both supply and install heat pumps, through a network of Alto Assured Heat Pump Installers, along with helping you explore the financial support available. Since we are an MCS accredited installer, our team can administer a grant with Ofgem on your behalf, and deduct the full grant amount from your quotation.
