Enquiry Form
In order for us to provide a quotation for your air source heat pump, we need to know a little bit about your property. We will send you a simple enquiry form in an email, which is easy to complete, for you to send back to us. Alternatively, a member of our sales team will happily complete this over the phone with you - it will only take around 5 minutes. Once complete, we’ll then send you a copy of your enquiry form just to make sure we’ve understood everything correctly!
Choose a Heat PUmp Installer
An installer will need to visit your property to carry out a quick installation survey. This is so that we can establish the extent of the work that needs to be done, so that when the installer comes to fit the heat pump they can complete the work with as little hassle as possible. We recommend that you use one of the installers in our approved installer network - we’ll provide you with contact details. However, if you have a plumber or heating engineer that you use regularly, ask them to get in touch with us, and we’ll invite them onto our training course to become an approved installer themselves!
MCS HEAT PUMP SURVEY
Once we’ve produced your quotation and you’re happy with the price, we will need to carry out a detailed MCS heat pump survey, as well as producing an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for your property, which you will need later to claim your RHI payments. To do this we require a £350 non-refundable deposit. This survey is a mandatory part of the MCS scheme, as well as a condition of Ikano Bank and ensures that everything has been calculated correctly. Furthermore, each project is submitted to the Energy Performance Validation Scheme (EPVS) who provide an independent validation of our calculations, to make sure that you have all the information provided in a clear fashion to enable you to make an informed decision.
QUOTE ACCEPTANCE & FINANCE AGREEMENT
If you’re happy with everything, you then need to formally accept the quote and the finance contract. It is at this point that the credit check will be carried out, and the loan agreement produced. All documents will be issued to you electronically.
COMMISSIONING & HANDOVER
When the installation is completed one of our own Alto Energy engineers will come and inspect the installation to ensure it meets our quality expectations. The engineer will then commission the heat pump, and get everything up and running for you, as well as showing you how the controls work. You will then need to sign a satisfaction form which releases the finance, at which point we provide you with your handover pack. In your handover pack will be your MCS certificate, which you will then use to claim your RHI payments.
