Aesthetic DEsign
The external unit of the Samsung HT Quiet has been designed with particular attention to aesthetics. The matte black finish creates a minimalist but premium feel which allows the HTQ to seamless integrate into a host of properties.
Unlike other heat pumps in Samsung's range, the HTQ is designed to fit below a window without obstructing the view, thanks to its lower height and increased depth.
The heat pump's grills have also been thoughtfully designed, with a particular angle that obscures the fan when viewed from the front or above. This can be particularly important for planners.
Performance
The HT in Samsung HT Quiet stands for high temperature. This means the unit is able to achieve an output of up to 70 degrees purely based on the compression cycle and without any immersion. The highest design flow temperature to space heating permitted by MCS is 55 degrees, so whilst we would not recommend running a heat pump system at 70 degrees (because it is more efficient to run the system at lower temperatures) or allow for it in any of our design calculations, it can help with recovery times and is reassuring to know it has the capacity to do so if needed during any really cold snaps.
The new Samsung HT Quiet will achieve a much truer performance that its predecessor, the EHS. For example, the Samsung EHS 16 kW drops down to about 12.5 kW and the 12 kW unit will drop down to about 10.5 kW in colder weather. In comparison, the 8 kW, 12 kW and 14 kW HTQ heat pump units will achieve virtually all of their stated output even when temperatures outside drop below zero. It's class leading SCOP is another reason to choose the HT Quiet over other Samsung heat pumps.
Quite Mode
The Samsung HTQ has a built in Quiet Mode which reduces the noise output by up to 30%, bringing the noise level down to around 35 decibels. If you’re unfamiliar with how decibels work, it can be a bit misleading when comparing one heat pump to another. For example, for every increase of 3 decibels, the perceived noise output doubles. Most heat pumps on the market operate at 55 decibels, so being able to reduce the of the HTQ by 20 decibels has a massive impart on the noise output. Again, this can be an important factor for planning permission and regulation.
